Job Description: Senior Assembler Technician/engineer
DUTIES: Responsible for performing design, CAD, production assembly support of vacuum electronic assemblies and subassemblies.
Includes but not limited to:
Requires the ability to:
-Proficient in Inventor or simialr CAD software.
-Work with hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
- Follow verbal and written procedures to perform assembly, testing, QA, and shipping tasks.
- Work in in a team environment to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Work with attention to detail.
- Assemble vacuum electronic and mechanical components into subassemblies and finished products
- Clean room environment assembly of precision devices
- Ensure product meets design specifications and applicable standards.
- Prepare product packaging for shipment to customers
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years related experience. 2, 4 or post-grad enucation. Worked in a lab environment exhibiting excellent attention to detail with experience in product engineering, design, assembly and test.
Required
- good manual dexterity, with excellent hand-eye coordination
- able to work with magnification tools to perform delicate work.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Exhibit a positive attitude
Preferred
CAD design experience relate to manufacturing environment. Should be able to use, Multimeters, power supplies, furnaces, vacuum systems, HIPOT, and other test equipment. Basic user computer skills much preferred. Must be able to read standard engineering drawings. Has a good disposition and positive attitude. Demonstrates initiative, self motivated, good judgment and is a team player. Willing to take on responsibilities outside of defined role. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Must be drug free. Job is on site in Watsonville, California.

THE JOB: Under general supervision, partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand the business needs and suggest technology solutions, while maintaining trusted relationships; manage projects through complete lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering through change management and stabilization; manage business and vendor relationships; participate in RFP and contract development and negotiation; plan, design, develop, and implement business, financial, and/or operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes, including gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements; generate and compile reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues; and perform other work as required. The list established will be used to fill the current vacancy and it may also be used to fill other vacancies during the life of the eligible list.
THE REQUIREMENTS: Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in business or public administration, computer science, accounting, management information systems or a related field AND two years of experience managing complex business projects, which must have included one year of project management responsibility that involved: design and/or implementation for small and medium business information applications; operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards; and the use of data retrieval and reporting methodologies. Some positions may require experience with state-mandated data systems. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
